Practical Advice: Please remember that the canoe routes are designed for normal water levels; the levels can vary significantly and the water torrents can change quickly. Regardless of water levels, always be attentive near dams and power stations that may be open. If you are uncertain about the water levels or status of a power station, please do not hesitate to call us to get more information. When crossing large expanses be mindful that it is often less windy during the morning and evening. Stay away from the water during a thunderstorm! Paddle near the shores at all times, and always use life jackets regardless of the weather. Signposts may sometimes be missing, but if you follow the map you should have no problems. When carrying the canoe between waterways remember to walk on the left side so you face approaching cars. The roads are narrow – never walk with two canoes side by side! Always paddle one canoe at a time in rivers and near power stations. All canoeing is done at your own risk. Always adjust the trip according to weather conditions and water levels, and take the time to carefully study the route plan and map. Do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions! |
