Brunskog (blue route) GENERAL ORIENTATION: This route goes through an old agricultural area where the first pioneers in Värmland settled, today a mixture of arable land and forest. The rout starts at the small Lake Rinnen. After additional smaller lakes we arrive at the Brunsberg River, a pleasant little river with a few (3) smaller rapids. Lake Värmeln is supposed to have 365 islands, several of them suitable for spending the night. The lake shores are sparsely populated, but can have rough terrain. LENGTH: 35 km, suitable for a weekend, or two days. The rout can be extended with Emsälven and Lake Värmeln. DIFERENSE IN ALTITUDE: 36 m. TRANSFER: 2x20 km.
